The mast is the raised vertical support that is used to lift and lower loads. On most forklifts, the mast is designed to face the front of the forklift.
The rear of the forklift provides the other side for the operator. It supports the load and is secured to the support. This prevents the load from sliding backwards towards the forklift operator during lifting and operating conditions. Counterweight is a weight attached to the forklift to offset the weight of the forklift. This helps maintain stability while the forklift is lifting and traveling.
When the load is not centered (such as an engine or other asymmetrical parts), the center of gravity should be carefully estimated. The data plate of the lift will tell you the lifting capacity at a specified load center and load height. Any discussion of the basics of forklifts is incomplete without discussing the center of gravity and the stability triangle. It is difficult for forklift operators to learn how to keep the center of gravity inside the stability triangle during training. Factors such as heavy and or unbalanced loads, driving on sloped or uneven terrain, or turning with high loads can cause the center of gravity to move outside the triangle, which can have disastrous consequences

Any discussion of the basics of off-road forklifts is incomplete without discussing the center of gravity and the stability triangle. During training, it is difficult for off-road forklift operators to learn how to keep the center of gravity inside the stability triangle. Factors such as heavy and or unbalanced loads, driving on sloped or uneven terrain, or turning with high loads can cause the center of gravity to move outside the triangle, which can have disastrous consequences.
The advantages of off-road forklifts are that they have sufficient horsepower, great strength, strong adaptability to the environment, can work in relatively difficult environments, and can be refueled at any time, and can work for a long time. The disadvantages are that they are noisy, have high exhaust pollution, and the engine maintenance is more troublesome, and repairs are also troublesome and unclean. When the four-wheel drive off-road forklift changes from low speed to high speed during driving, as long as the road conditions allow, you should gradually step on the accelerator pedal to increase the speed, then immediately pick up the accelerator pedal, and then quickly step on the clutch pedal to put the shift lever in the neutral position. Position, then pick up the clutch pedal, and then press it again to quickly push the shift lever into the upshift position.
Precautions for the use of the engine of the off-road forklift:
1 A new machine or after overhaul, the diesel engine cannot run at full load and high speed from the beginning. It must run at low speed and light load for 50 hours before it can be converted to normal operation.
2. Make sure the fuel is clean. If necessary, filter through sediment or silk. 3. Maintain normal water temperature (70-85°C) and oil pressure (0.2-0.4 MPa at medium speed)
4. During operation, abnormalities were found and the vehicle was checked immediately. 5. It is recommended not to use "hard water" as cooling water to prevent scaling and shorten the engine life.
