Electric articulated boom lifts are widely used in high-altitude operations such as construction, maintenance, and cleaning, and their safe operation is essential. To ensure the safety of the equipment during use, operators should conduct a comprehensive safety inspection before each use. The following is a five-step method for safety inspection of electric articulated boom lifts:

Step 1: Appearance and structural inspection

1. Check the appearance and structural integrity

Confirm that the appearance of the lift has no obvious damage, deformation or rust.

Check whether the connection between the boom and the lifting platform is firm, and whether the welding points are cracked or loose.

2. Check the guardrails and safety devices

Confirm that the platform guardrails are stable and the door locks are normal.

Check whether the safety belts and anchors on the platform are intact.

Step 2: Electrical system inspection

1. Check the battery and charging system

Confirm that the battery is fully charged and the connecting wires are not damaged or loose.

Check whether the charger and power cord are working properly.

2. Check the control panel and operating buttons

Confirm that the indicators, displays, and buttons on the control panel are working properly.

Perform functional tests to ensure that all operating buttons and emergency stop buttons are working properly.

Step 3: Hydraulic system inspection

1. Check the hydraulic oil level

Confirm that the hydraulic oil level is within the specified range and should not be too high or too low.

Check whether the hydraulic oil is clean and free of foreign matter or signs of deterioration.

2. Check the hydraulic pipeline

Confirm that the hydraulic pipeline has no leakage, damage or aging.

Check whether the hydraulic joints are tight and ensure that there is no looseness.

Step 4: Mechanical component inspection

1. Check the rotation and telescopic mechanism

Confirm the lubrication of the rotation mechanism and telescopic arm to ensure their flexibility and stability.

Check whether the extension and retraction of the telescopic arm are smooth, without jamming or abnormal noise.

2. Check the platform lifting mechanism

Confirm the operation of the lifting mechanism to ensure smooth lifting without shaking.

Check the tension and wear of the lifting chain or steel cable.

Step 5: Test run inspection

1. No-load test run

Perform lifting, rotation and telescopic operations without load to ensure that all functions are normal.

Check the stability of the platform at different heights and positions to ensure that there is no abnormal shaking.

2. Load test run

Gradually increase the load and conduct a comprehensive operation test to ensure that the equipment works normally under the rated load.

Check whether the operations are flexible and stable under load.

Through the above five-step method, a comprehensive inspection of the electric boom lift can effectively eliminate potential safety hazards before the equipment is used, ensuring the safety and efficiency of aerial work. Operators should strictly follow the inspection steps and perform regular maintenance to extend the service life of the equipment and ensure the smooth progress of aerial work.
