Scissor lifts can be divided into the following types according to different classification criteria:

1. Classification according to power source

Electric scissor lift: using electricity as the power source, usually equipped with an electric motor drive, suitable for indoor work or places with stable power supply.

Diesel scissor lift: powered by diesel engine, suitable for outdoor operation, especially for use in construction sites without electricity supply or other remote areas.

Manual scissor lift: driven by hand pump or manipulator rocker, usually used for small equipment or lightweight occasions, suitable for low-frequency use of the site.

2. Classified according to the way of movement

Fixed scissor lift: the equipment is installed in a fixed position, usually used in production lines, warehouses or other places that require vertical transport, the lifting height is usually larger.

Mobile scissor lift: equipped with wheels or tracks, it can be moved between different workplaces and is suitable for the operating environment that requires frequent change of work position.

3. Classification according to lifting height

Low-height scissor lift: the lifting height is usually below 3 metres, suitable for indoor or low-rise building work.

Medium-height scissor lift: the lifting height is usually between 3 metres and 10 metres, which is suitable for most medium and high-rise buildings and indoor work.

High-height scissor lift: the lifting height is more than 10 metres, suitable for high-rise buildings, warehouses or places that require a larger working height.

4. Classification according to load-bearing capacity

Light scissor lift: the carrying capacity is usually below 300kg, suitable for light work or small equipment transport.

Medium-sized scissor lift: the carrying capacity is usually between 300kg and 1000kg, suitable for material handling in most industrial and commercial places.

Heavy-duty scissor lift: the carrying capacity is more than 1000kg, suitable for places where heavy equipment or large amount of materials need to be handled.

5. Classification according to use

Industrial scissor lifts: designed for industrial production environments, usually used in production lines, warehouses, logistics centres and other places for material handling or equipment maintenance.

Construction scissor lift: mainly used in construction sites, suitable for aerial work, installation, maintenance and other operations.

Maintenance scissor lifts: mainly used for equipment maintenance, lighting installation and other places that need lifting platforms, usually designed to be lighter and simpler to operate.

6. Classification according to the form of scissor structure

Single scissor lift: only a set of scissor arms, lifting height and carrying capacity is relatively limited, suitable for small and medium-sized workplaces.

Double scissor lift: equipped with two sets of scissor arms, providing greater lifting height and carrying capacity, suitable for higher lifting requirements of the operation.

Multi-scissor lifts: equipped with multiple sets of scissor arms, usually used in specific industrial sites that require very high lifting heights.

7. Classified according to the working environment

Indoor Scissor Lift: Designed for indoor use, usually light in weight, flexible in operation and suitable for level ground.

Outdoor type scissor lift: suitable for outdoor harsh environment, usually with strong wind resistance and weather resistance, and equipped with strong drive system and stable support system.

The above are the common classifications of scissor lifts, according to the specific needs and working environment, you can choose the most suitable type.
